Techmorphosis 3.0: Igniting Innovation at Hope Academy

On May 2, 2025, Hope Academy  proudly served as the venue partner for Techmorphosis 3.0, the third edition of Nagabots Tech Ventures Pvt Ltd’s flagship technology and innovation event. This year’s theme, Innovation in Motion, brought together over 277 participants from 14 schools and colleges across Nagaland for a day of creativity, collaboration, and cutting-edge competition.

Kicking Off with Inspiration

The event began with an inaugural session chaired by Watisenla Kichu. Sashizungla Ao, Principal of Hope Academy, set an inspiring tone, welcoming students, educators, parents, and distinguished guests, including Shri Mhathung Kithan, Senior Project Director of the Nagaland GIS & Remote Sensing Centre, and Shri P. Tokugha Sema, Director of Industries & Commerce. She expressed regret over the absence of Shri J. Alam, Hon’ble Chief Secretary of Nagaland, but emphasized the significance of the gathering. Principal Sashizungla Ao highlighted Techmorphosis as a platform where young minds, from primary to post-graduate levels, turn ideas into reality through challenges like Robo Sumo and Hackathons. She praised the students’ enthusiasm and acknowledged the vital role of educators and parents in fostering a culture of innovation, underscoring that the event was about building a legacy of learning and impact.

Thrilling Competitions and Highlights

Techmorphosis 3.0 featured an exciting array of STEM-focused challenges, including Nagaland’s first-ever Drone Race, alongside Robo Sumo, Water Rocket Challenge, Coding Hackathon, App Inventor & Scratch Programming, Capture the Flag, and Electronics & Arduino Robotics. These activities sparked innovation and collaboration among participants. A standout moment was the captivating Drone Show by the Nagaland GIS & Remote Sensing Centre, which showcased the power of aerial technology and visual storytelling, leaving attendees in awe.

Voices of Vision

Er Kevin Khezhie, Director of Nagabots, spoke on the importance of a tech-driven mindset, while Shri P. Tokugha Sema encouraged students to embrace Industry 4.0 skills. Shri Mhathung Kithan emphasized innovation’s role in shaping the future workforce. Er Kedichol Khanyo, Event Head, celebrated the participants’ creativity, stating, “Techmorphosis is a platform for unleashing ideas, and we’re proud to see Nagaland’s youth stepping boldly into the future.”

A Collaborative Success

The event’s success was a result of Hope Academy’s partnership with Nagabots and the support of organizations like StartUp Nagaland, the Department of IT&C, the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland GIS & Remote Sensing Centre, Matrix Enterprise, Appskilling, Print Impressions, and Advanced GIIT. This collective effort created a dynamic space for students to shine and explore technology’s potential.
